Registration is now open for the Leadership and Advocacy Conference, scheduled for May 20–23, 2012. Many exciting workshops have been planned and there will be several sessions on chapter leadership, including Chapter Leadership Orientation, Chapter Officers Forum, and the breakfast sessions for large chapters and small/medium chapters.

Many sessions will be offered regarding advocacy, public policy, public relations and also visits with key legislators on the Hill. Several receptions are planned, including the opening reception and the Congressional Reception on Tuesday evening. This year a maximum of 8.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)^TM can be earned at the meeting.

Our featured speakers this year are Dan Morhaim MD, FACEP, Deputy Majority Leader, Maryland House of Delegates; John A. Barrasso, MD, US Senator (R-WY); Joseph R. Pitts, US Representative (R-PA); and Marilyn Tavenner, Acting Administrator, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
